Compass Housing Alliance
Working with Compass Housing Alliance, Metropods, and Columbia City, we are designing a modular solution to affordable transitional housing. Faced with an increasing population of homelessness over the past 4 years, community-minded organizations, such as Compass Housing Alliance, are collaborating with architects to find solutions for this growing population. Past solutions involve Tent City and Nickelsville – Compass Crossing is the pilot project for developing transportable homes, allowing these steel-frames home to be moved from site to another.
This development features 13 housing units, spread across 22 modules (six double occupancy rooms at 240 square feet and seven single occupancy rooms at 160 square feet). From Facility to Site Installation, we have streamlined the process to minimize costs of on-site finishing, further adding value to the broader concept of relocating these modules.
